Q: I thought that Johnny Duncan had some of the finest records ever made. Whatever happened to him?
A: Johnny Duncan died in August 2006. He placed 39 songs on the country music charts from 1967 thru 1986....including three number ones.

TODAY IN 1968: Johnny Duncan had his 4th charted song. "Jackson Ain't A Very Big Town" (a duet with June Stearns) came on the charts October 19th, 1968 and peaked at # 21. The Columbia Records single was charted for 8 weeks.
