A Simple Business, a Rich LifeWhen I say dropshipping, I don’t mean some get-rich-quick scheme or a race to the bottom selling junk. What I do is high-ticket dropshipping. I run a handful of online stores that sell big-ticket items—things like premium home décor and outdoor products. I work with American suppliers. They carry the inventory and ship directly to my customers. I never touch a single product. My job? Manage the business, talk to customers when needed, and keep an eye on the financials. And I do all that in about two hours a day. The Rhythm of My DayHere’s how it usually goes: I wake up without an alarm. My wife and I go for a long walk along the coast—it’s quiet, peaceful, and usually ends with a dip in the sea or a coffee at the beach café. By mid-morning, I sit down at my laptop. I check in on the business: orders, supplier notes, a few emails. Maybe I message my remote team if something needs attention. Then I close the laptop. And that’s it. Afternoons are free. I might read, swim, listen to music, or take a drive through the hills. Some days I do nothing at all. And I mean that in the best way. Why This WorksI don’t have a boss. I don’t have meetings. I don’t have stress. And I certainly don’t have any interest in going back to a “normal” job. But what I do have is a profitable business that pays for a lifestyle most people only get to experience on vacation. What makes this possible is that the business is built on a repeatable system. Once I figured it out—and it did take time—I was able to scale it, automate the routine parts, and focus only on what I’m good at: strategy and finance. I now run multiple revenue-generating sites, all from my home here in Cyprus. I live in a place where people come to retire. But I’m not retired in the traditional sense—I’m engaged, creative, and in control of my time. The Life I Was Looking ForTen years ago, I was still in the US, still in the corporate world, and still trying to figure out how I’d make it work. Now, I live in a place where I can walk along the beach every morning, breathe deeply, and smile knowing that my income flows quietly in the background. This isn’t a fantasy. It’s just a different way of approaching work—and life. I didn’t move to Cyprus to escape. I came here to design a better life. And I built a business that lets me live it. If you’d told me back then that I’d be running a location-independent business from a small coastal town and spending less than two hours a day doing it, I’d have raised an eyebrow. But here I am.
