QUESTION:    Do you have any information concerning a Willie Nelson golf tournament? It was mentioned on the TV news.

 

 

ANSWER:        The First Annual Willie Nelson Celebrity Golf Tournament is scheduled for June 30^th in Briarcliff, Texas. The event will benefit The Pedernales Fire Department, Helping Hands Crisis Ministry, Children's Music Foundation and the RunTex Foundation.

TODAY IN 1967: Willie Nelson had his 10^th charted song. "Blackjack County Chain" entered the country music charts June 24^th, 1967 and peaked at # 21. The RCA Victor single was on the charts for 11 weeks.
