QUESTION:   I have heard that Conway Twitty was given a special highway marker. Do you have any information?

ANSWER:       Conway was recently honored with a marker on the Mississippi Country Music Trail. The marker was unveiled in Friars Point, where he was born Harold Lloyd Jenkins in 1933.

THIS WEEK IN 1980:  Conway Twitty had his 44th hit song. "I've Never Seen The  Likes Of You" entered the country music charts June 28th, 1980 and peaked at # 6. It was on the charts for 13 weeks.

"Q & A" is a by-product of our weekly "Country Music Classics" newsletter. NO - it does NOT replace the weekly newsletter--it is simply an addition--due to the large number of questions received each week that I do not have room for in the weekly newsletter. Subscribers receive BOTH the weekly newsletter and the daily Q & A---because I do not maintain two separate mailing lists.  If you wish to unsubscribe- send a blank email to:

IF YOU DO UNSUBSCRIBE....YOU WILL BE UNSUBSCRIBING FROM BOTH THE WEEKLY "COUNTRY MUSIC CLASSICS" AND THE DAILY "Q & A."
