The cities are listed by metro size, with all figures persons 6+, Monday-Sunday, 6am-midnight and rankings in parentheses. - Boston: Greater Media's WKLB declined 4.9-4.5 (6-9), and after three straight cume increases, its audience was down 40,700 to 565,100 (11-12). A year ago, 'KLB had a 5.4 (6) and reach of 621,200 (12).
- Detroit: CBS Radio's WYCD stepped up 6.1-6.3 (2-2), adding 33,200 listeners to set a new station record of 960,800 (6-7), marking its third consecutive cume gain. Those figures beat May '09, when the station earned a 5.0 (6) and cume of 928,400 (7).
- Miami: Beasley's WKIS slipped 3.7-3.5 (11-12), with its audience down 8,200 to 436,700 (15-18). Twelve months back, 'KIS had a 3.3 (13t) and reached 484,100 (16).
- Seattle: Entercom's KKWF jumped 4.1-4.8 (8t-3) to its best share and share rank since PPM started here in April '09. Its cume improved 40,300 to 586,900 (10-9). A year ago, The Wolf scored a 3.6 (11t) and reach of 578,700 (10). CBS Radio's KMPS climbed 4.0-4.6 (10-7). Its cume was up 26,400 to 660,700 (8-8). Both share and cume were its strongest since June '09. That May, KMPS posted a record 5.0 (4) and a record reach of 730,300 (6). Clear Channel's KNBQ pulled its third straight 2.0 (23t-23). Its listenership was off 24,700 to 300,400 (20-20). A year back, 'NBQ had a 1.9 (21t) and audience of 342,900 (20).
- Phoenix: CC's KNIX was down 4.2-3.6 (8-12), with cume of 608,000 (11-11), off 15,600. In May '09, KNIX had a 3.7 (13) and cume of 584,100 (13). Close behind is CBS Radio's KMLE, which shifted 3.5-3.4 (12t-14) with 570,500 listeners (12-12), down 7,200. The previous May, KMLE registered a PPM-best 4.5 (8) and cume of 604,500 (11).
- Minneapolis: CC's KEEY earned its best book since last October, advancing 7.6-8.2 (3-3). Its cume expanded for the fifth month in a row, this time up 8,500 to hit a PPM record 825,700 (4-4). In May '09, KEEY notched a 8.7 (2) and reached 804,300 (4).
- San Diego: Lincoln Financial's KSON marked its third straight 3.6 (12-11), with cume up 15,100 to 435,300 (12-10), the most since December. Those figures beat May '09's 2.9 (14) and audience of 425,800 (13). CC's KUSS fell 1.9-1.6 (21-23), as its cume declined 11,800 to 296,600 (18-18). A year ago, KUSS had a 2.1 (20t) and reach of 315,300 (17).
- Tampa: CBS Radio's WQYK stepped up 5.0-5.2 (7-7) in its best month since January. Cume declined 32,800 to 465,600 (8-11). CC's WFUS slipped 4.2-3.9 (11-12). The station scored its best cume rank in PPM despite giving up 1,600 listeners to reach 490,000 (10-8).
- Denver: Lincoln Financial's KYGO was even at a 5.6 (2t-2), with cume easing 1,900 to 513,700 (8-9). After matching its PPM low, Wilks' KWOF rebounded 1.4-1.8 (25t-22t), adding 19,300 listeners to reach 253,100 (20-20), its most since last August.
- St. Louis: Bonneville's WIL gained 5.6-6.0 (7-5t), its highest share rank since last October. Cume was down 12,300 to 552,300 (6-8). CC's KSD declined 3.7-3.4 (15-15), and cume was off 16,100 to 492,400 (11-11).
- Baltimore: CC's WPOC accelerated 7.1-7.9 (3t-2), its highest share since PPM started here last July. It's the first time 'POC has been No. 2 in PPM, and that 0.8 gain is the largest share increase so far of all Country stations in the May ratings. Cume dipped 10,200 from last month's record audience to 551,600 (4-5).
- Pittsburgh: CBS Radio's WDSY was up 6.2-6.5 (7-6t), adding 4,200 listeners to reach 508,200 (9-8), up three straight surveys and its most since November. Keymarket's cluster performed as follows: WOGG 2.3-2.0 (14t-14), with cume down 9,500 to 139,800 (17-17); WOGI 1.6-1.2 (17t-20), with its audience off 6,000 to 167,500 (15-15); and WOGH up 0.7-0.9 (23t-25) and its reach declining 2,400 to 78,500 (27-25).
