» Back And Better Than Ever: The first four nightly sellouts in CMA Music Festival history crown the most successful such event since the inception of Fan Fair in 1972. Average nightly attendance of 49,000 equalled a 16.7% increase. Attendance at the daytime Riverfront Park was up 6.4% over last year, while estimated daily attendance festival-wide was 65,000, up from 56,000 in 2009. Four-day ticket package sales were up 33.3%, causing many single-show nightly tickets to be turned into packages, resulting in a year-over-year dip in single-ticket sales. "After all we have been through, and all the hard work everyone contributed to getting the venues and businesses ready for our fans, this is a huge win for everyone who cares about Music City," says CMA Chairman Steve Moore. "This community needed a big win and we got it." Look for extensive coverage of the event in tonight's Country Aircheck Weekly.

» Murphy Leaves WFMS: As we told you this morning (6/14) via Twitter and Facebook, Cumulus' WFMS/Indianapolis PD/middayer Vicki Murphy is leaving the company June 30 to join Cardinal Ritter High School as Communications Dir. Murphy was named PD in September (Breaking News 9/29) and can be reached at 317-522-8134 or here. SVP/Programming Jan Jeffries is seeking an "experienced pro who understands and embraces a centralized team." Send resumes, references and mp3s of current station and personal aircheck to him here.

» Clark's Bar: MCC Radio's KGNC-AM & FM/Amarillo, TX PM driver Patrick Clark has been named interim PD as PD/AM co-host Tim Butler transitions to an Account Executive position June 18. After more than 35 years on the air, Butler is taking this opportunity to learn the sales side of the business with an eye toward upper management. Morning co-host Melissa Bartlett will continue in that role until a new partner is found. GM Brice Edwards is also looking to fill the night slot, which has been covered by parttimers. For both gigs, send airchecks and resumes here.

» Palmer Leaves WW: Wortman Works publicist Kristin Palmer has left the company after nearly three years. Palmer served as Publicity Assistant at Warner Bros./Nashville under then SVP/Publicity & Artist Development Jules Wortman until the publicist opened Wortman Works Media & Marketing in '07. » Flip Out: Colonial's WLMI/Olean, NY flipped to Rock today (6/14). There are no staff changes at the Class A station, which did not achieve any measurable 12+ ratings in the metro's Fall '09 Arbitron. The market is dominated by Country leader WPIG, and also served by five other Country stations.

» Stream Crossing: Citadel's WKDF/Nashville is hosting a Nashville flood relief concert tomorrow (6/15) at 6pm from 3rd And Lindsley featuring Vince Gill, Chuck Wicks, Ira Dean, Josh Thompson, Keith Anderson and surprise guests. The show will stream live on the station's website (here) as well as all Citadel Country sites. Donations to the American Red Cross will be taken at the door and via the webcast.

» Bang The Drum Loudly: Reinforcing the upbeat trend in broadcast business, research firm SNL Kagan reports that radio revenues are expected to grow 6.4% in 2010. That's a slightly better pace than Q1's 6% increase reported last month by the RAB. SNL Kagan cites additional spending on political and auto advertising, as well as tighter inventory avails and rising ad rates. The company estimates radio will generate $17.1 billion this year, up from $16 billion in '09, though that's well below 2008's $19.5 billion. Online revenues are projected to grow 15.0% to $552 million, while national spot and local sales are anticipated to rise 17.0% and 4.3%, respectively. Looking long-term, radio income is projected to steadily increase to $19.8 billion by 2016, the most since 2007's $21.3 billion. SNL Kagan Sr. Analyst Robin Flynn notes, "The bounce-back in ad revenues, combined with other positive trends, such as growing digital dollars, have reassured investors, who have bid radio station stocks up 36% year-to-date."

» The A-Teen: Nominees for the 2010 Teen Choice Awards include Taylor Swift and Miley Cyrus for Female Artist.
