QUESTION:   I heard on the radio that Merle Haggard is connected to an upcoming Nashville auction. Do you have any details?

 

 

ANSWER:     The 4^th Annual Guitars Of The Stars Benefit Auction is set for June 7^th at the CMA Music Fest Buckle Stage in downtown Nashville and will sell guitars autographed by Merle Haggard, Loretta Lynn, Charlie Daniels and others -- with proceeds going to the Opry Trust Fund - which assists members of the country music community in need.

THIS WEEK IN 1975: Merle Haggard had his 39^th charted song. "Movin' On" entered the charts May 24^th, 1975 and made it to number one. It was his 21^st number one and was on the charts for 15 weeks.
