Hey ,
People often say my talks have changed their lives.
But here’s what most people don’t know:
|
Back in 2007, I barely knew what to say in front of an audience.
|
Don’t get me wrong — I was smart, driven, and deeply passionate about my mission.
But give me a mic?
Put me in front of a crowd?
And suddenly… I’d freeze.
I couldn’t string my thoughts into impact.
And I didn’t realize how much that was holding me back — until one unforgettable moment.
I was still building Mindvalley from a tiny office in Kuala Lumpur, and one evening I went to see a speaker named Roger Hamilton.
He took the stage and delivered a talk that moved the entire room.
It was visionary. Honest. Magnetic.
And I remember sitting there, thinking:
|
“This… this is what it means to inspire.” “I want to be able to do that.”
|
That moment shifted everything. I realized that my inability to communicate powerfully was capping my potential.
So I dove in.
I watched TED Talks on loop.
I devoured every book on communication and stage presence I could find.
I practiced. I failed. I kept going.
And still — it took years.
I was winging it.
Some talks would land. Others? Not so much.
What I didn’t know then was this:
|
Speaking is not just a talent. It’s a learnable skill. It’s both an art and a science.
|
There’s creativity, insight, vulnerability — yes.
But there’s also structure. Story arcs. Timing. Flow. Emotional pacing.
And once you learn these?
Everything changes.
I didn’t fully grasp this until 2019.
That’s when I joined a program by my friend and mentor Eric Edmeades, called Speaking Academy.
Five days. $10,000.
And honestly? It transformed everything.
Eric showed me how to tell stories that land.
How to infuse humor, vulnerability, and rhythm into every talk.
How to not just inform — but transform an audience.
It became the foundation of the speaking style I’m known for today.
|
Because your voice isn’t just sound. It’s your soul in motion.
|
|
|
And that’s why this year’s summit is called:
|
The Speaking & Influence Summit 2026
|
🗓️ June 26–28 | 💻 Live on Zoom | 🎟️ Free to attend
|
Because I want to give YOU — our community — the tools to step into this power.
And I’ve brought together an incredible group of teachers to help you begin this journey.

Because the research is clear:
📊 Harvard, Stanford, and Carnegie Foundation found that
|
85% of success comes from communication and human connection — not technical skills.
|
📈 LinkedIn named communication the #1 most in-demand skill in the global job market.
💬 And as Warren Buffett once said:
|
“The one easy way to become worth 50% more is to hone your communication skills.”
|
|
|
Over these three days, you’ll learn how to:
|
- Speak with unshakable presence (even if your voice shakes)
- Tell stories that ignite hearts and inspire change
- Influence with authenticity — in boardrooms, on camera, or from a global stage
- Build a voice-driven brand, business, or movement
- Learn from teachers who’ve moved millions and built legacies through their voice
|
This isn’t about performance. It’s about becoming a messenger.
And you don’t need to be perfect.
You just need to start.
Because the world doesn’t just need more content.
It needs more voices with clarity, heart, and conviction.
It needs yours.
