🚨NEW KIT ALERT: Happy Lunar New Year!

Hi Woobler,

I immigrated to the United States at 9 months old, in my mom's arms as she took her very first plane ride to join my dad. It was the start of my journey of living in two cultures.

In Minnesota, our family learned how to celebrate new holidays like Thanksgiving and Christmas, and my younger personal favorite Halloween (where my parents were very skeptical when I explained we could go knock on stranger's doors for candy). But I also had bonus holidays that my friends didn't really know about, like Lunar New Year.

As a kid, I knew these holidays for the food. As I got older, I learned to appreciate why my parents gently nudged (or forcibly transported) me to weekend Chinese school. I spent years trying to blend in, and it was only later that I saw how wonderful it is to be a part of multiple cultures.

Lunar New Year is a time where families come together to honor our ancestors, show gratitude for the past year, and celebrate the fresh beginning of a new year. We eat fish for abundance and rice cakes for growth and progress. We fill our homes with red decor to bring good luck.

We're proud to share a pre-order for Jia the Horse, which is a gentle reminder to us that progress takes time. She's been stuck in a port for weeks, but is now on her way over to us, so we'll have your pre-order shipping out before March 18th.

Wishing you and your loved ones a prosperous and happy new year,
Adrian (& Justine!)
