COUNTRY MUSIC CLASSICS
Q & A
April 29th, 2012
QUESTION: Years ago my mom and dad took our family to see a Kitty Wells concert. There was a young man there named Bobby -- who she introduced as her son. He sang several songs and was quite talented. Did he have any hit records?
ANSWER: Bobby Wright placed 21 songs on the country charts between 1967 and 1979. His biggest chart success was in 1971 when "Here I Go Again" peaked at # 13.

TODAY IN 1983: Mel McDaniel had his 20th charted song. "Old Man River" entered the country charts April 9th, 1983 and peaked at # 22. The Capitol Records single was on the charts for 15 weeks.

"Q & A" is a by-product of our weekly "Country Music Classics" newsletter. NO - it does NOT replace the weekly newsletter--it is simply an addition--due to the large number of questions received each week that I do not have room for in the weekly newsletter. Subscribers receive BOTH the weekly newsletter and the daily Q & A---because I do not maintain two separate mailing lists. If you wish to unsubscribe- send a blank email to:

IF YOU DO UNSUBSCRIBE....YOU WILL BE UNSUBSCRIBING FROM BOTH THE WEEKLY "COUNTRY MUSIC CLASSICS" AND THE DAILY "Q & A."
