QUESTION:   Years ago my mom and dad took our family to see a Kitty Wells concert. There was a young man there named Bobby -- who she introduced as her son. He sang several songs and was quite talented. Did he have any hit records?

                                  

 

ANSWER:      Bobby Wright placed 21 songs on the country charts between 1967 and 1979. His biggest chart success was in 1971 when "Here I Go Again" peaked at # 13.

TODAY IN 1983:  Mel McDaniel had his 20th charted song. "Old Man River" entered the country charts April 9th, 1983 and peaked at # 22. The Capitol Records single was on the charts for 15 weeks.
