QUESTION:    I have heard that George Jones is seriously ill. Do you have any details?

 

 

ANSWER:     George Jones was admitted to a Nashville area hospital on Thursday for observation due to an upper respiratory infection. He was expected to be released this weekend.

Today In 1962:  George Jones was on the way to having his 28^th charted song and his 3^rd number one. "She Thinks I Still Care" entered the country music charts April 14^th, 1962 and made it to number one.  The United Artists single stayed at the top of the list for six weeks and on the charts for 23 weeks.
