QUESTION:   I had heard that Reba McEntire was going to have a new TV series – then heard nothing else for a long time. Has that idea been canceled?

 

 

 

ANSWER:      Reba's new sitcom, "Malibu Country," will premiere on ABC-TV on Friday, November 2nd, and will feature Reba as a singer who moves her kids to Malibu to escape her cheating rock star husband. Lily Tomlin will play Reba's mother.

THIS WEEK IN 1979:  Reba McEntire had her 8^th charted single. A duet with Jacky Ward titled "That Makes Two of Us" came on the charts July 7^th, 1979 and peaked at # 26^th. The Mercury Records single was on the charts for 11 weeks.
