QUESTION:    I heard on the radio that Glen Campbell has suddenly given up performing concerts. Is that true?

 

 

ANSWER:       Glen is continuing his U.S. tour but has canceled his Australian tour. According to his rep, the long plane ride  to Australia was just more than Glen wanted to do.

THIS WEEK IN 1969:    Glen Campbell had his 13^th charted song. "True Grit" entered the country music charts July 26^th, 1969 and peaked at # 9. The tune was on the country music charts for 12 weeks, scored a # 35 on the pop charts and was the title song from the movie starring John Wayne and Campbell.
