QUESTION:   My next door neighbor is a rabid Buck Owens fan. He has all Buck's recordings,,.. photos all over the house and he keeps telling me that every Buck Owens single was a number one. Is that true?

ANSWER:      Buck Owens placed 90 songs on the country music charts between 1959 and 1989, but only 21 of those made it to number one.

THIS WEEK IN 1963: Buck Owens had his first number one. "Act Naturally" entered the country music charts April 13th, 1963, made it to number one and stayed there for 4 weeks. It was on the charts for 28 weeks.

"Q & A" is a by-product of our weekly "Country Music Classics" newsletter. NO - it does NOT replace the weekly newsletter--it is simply an addition--due to the large number of questions received each week that I do not have room for in the weekly newsletter. Subscribers receive BOTH the weekly newsletter and the daily Q & A---because I do not maintain two separate mailing lists.  If you wish to unsubscribe- send a blank email to:

IF YOU DO UNSUBSCRIBE....YOU WILL BE UNSUBSCRIBING FROM BOTH THE WEEKLY "COUNTRY MUSIC CLASSICS" AND THE DAILY "Q & A."
