QUESTION:    I have heard that George Jones is seriously ill. Do you have any details?

 

 

ANSWER:     George Jones was admitted to a Nashville area hospital on Thursday for observation due to an upper respiratory infection. He was expected to be released this weekend.

Today In 1962:  George Jones was on the way to having his 28th charted song and his 3rd number one. "She Thinks I Still Care" entered the country music charts April 14th, 1962 and made it to number one.  The United Artists single stayed at the top of the list for six weeks and on the charts for 23 weeks.
