Hopefully Rodgers will make a decision before then. And, a very happy birthday to SI’s own Tom Dierberger!  The headlines … NBA on NBC/Screengrab NBA UNDERDOGS: Three more playoff games took place last night, with all the “underdogs”—the 76ers, the Trail Blazers and the Lakers—winning the contests. Our team live blogged the games and wrote takeaways from each victory… Victor Wembanyama left in the second quarter of the Spurs’ eventual loss and entered concussion protocol. We’re waiting on his Game 3 status. … Wemby just won the Defensive Player of the Year award, but Rudy Gobert feels like he personally got snubbed. … Here’s the schedule for when the rest of the NBA awards will come out. … And, here’s a list of all the winners so far. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander was named Clutch Player of the Year last night. NFL DRAFT APPETIZERS: The NFL draft is tomorrow—everybody stay calm! Here’s some NFL stories to get you excited ahead of tomorrow. … Five years later, SI’s Mike Kadlick and Eva Geitheim revisited the 2021 NFL draft and made a few changes (the Jets shouldn’t have picked Zach Wilson, for instance). … Speaking of the Jets, New York has the second pick tomorrow night. Why did the team cancel their pre-draft visit with Texas A&M pass rusher David Bailey? … The NFL made a smart move ahead of this year’s draft to avoid having another prank call situation like with what happened to Shedeur Sanders last year. … Will Anderson Jr. had an awesome reaction to becoming the highest-paid defensive player in league history. … Justin Jefferson was brutally honest about the upcoming quarterback competition in Minnesota between Kyler Murray and J.J. McCarthy. FINALLY, COACH: Coaches, whether they mean to or not, tend to make some of the biggest headlines in sports. … Mike Vrabel finally broke his silence about the situation regarding former The Athletic reporter Dianna Russini. … Mike Tomlin finally landed a broadcasting role with NBC after months of speculation that this was his next move after leaving the Steelers in January. Excited to hear some new Tomlinisms. … The Bulls’ front office has made some major moves in recent months, with coach Billy Donovan finally stepping down from his position yesterday. The Bulls will look totally different next season. WNBA PRESEASON: The 2026 WNBA season begins in a couple short weeks. Get ready. … Lynx star and MVP runner-up Napheesa Collier won’t start the season with the team as she recovers from a second ankle surgery. Here’s what her injury timeline means for Minnesota. … Sophie Cunningham cleared the air about the frustration with her short-term deal with the Fever. She only wanted more years on her deal so she could keep her house, dog and donkey in Indiana. Yep, you read that right. … Team USA dominated in the FIBA World Cup qualifiers. Were their reactions justified? SI’s Tyler Lauletta found out for himself by trying the new flavor of sports drink. He gave a pretty entertaining and honest review about the drink, it’s worth the read. CURSE OF THE MAMBINO: Ever since New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani hugged Mr. and Mrs. Met at a game on April 9, the Mets haven’t won a single game—a losing streak that currently sits at 12 contests. The city has deemed this the “Curse of the Mambino,” playing off of the infamous Red Sox “Curse of the Bambino” from the Babe Ruth trade. The new mayor seems to be fine with the nickname. But, that pesky curse isn’t over yet. NBA Playoffs: Magic @ Pistons—7 p.m. ET; ESPN Orlando surprisingly upset Detroit in Game 1 of the first round series over the weekend; will they replicate that success tonight to take a 2–0 lead over the Pistons? Suns @ Thunder—9:30 p.m. ET; ESPN The reigning champions dominated Phoenix on Sunday, winning 119–84. We’ll see if the Suns can put up more of a fight against the Thunder tonight. NHL Playoffs: Penguins @ Flyers—7 p.m. ET; TNT, truTV, HBO Max The Flyers could take a huge lead tonight as Philly is up 2–0 on Pittsburgh in the first-round series. Stars @ Wild—9:30 p.m. ET; TNT, truTV, HBO Max Things are all tied up in the Stars–Wild series as both teams will look to take a 2–1 lead tonight. Ducks @ Oilers—10 p.m. ET; TBS, HBO Max Edmonton held off Anaheim’s three-goal second period in Game 1 of the series to win 4–3. We’ll see if the Oilers can win both home games before heading to Anaheim. MLB: Yankees @ Red Sox—6:45 p.m. ET; Prime Video, MLB Network New York won the first meeting of this rivalry series 4–0 last night. We’ll see if the Red Sox can charge back and win Game 2 in Fenway Park.  Dodgers @ Giants—9:45 p.m. ET; MLB.tv Shohei Ohtani is back on the mound tonight for the Dodgers. He’s made three pitching starts so far this season, putting up a 0.50 ERA with 18 strikeouts thrown in 18 innings pitched. He’ll face Giants’ Tyler Mahle on the mound. That’s all for today!
