Q: My dad says that June Carter Cash recorded "Ring Of Fire" before Johnny did. Is that true?
A: June's sister Anita Carter recorded "Ring Of Fire" a few months before Johnny recorded his 1963 number one. The song was written by June Carter Cash and Merle Kilgore.
