But it has certainly not been an easy road to the top, as Miranda explains. She was a favorite with critics, but had to wait for real commercial success. That happened with her breakout single, “White Liar,” from her Revolution album. “I never even had a Top 5 before ‘White Liar.’ So, that was the song that pushed me to this next level,” she says. Miranda adds that she hopes her CMA Awards will lead to more opportunities, in and outside of music.
