December 3, 2010 | » The Grammy Song: "It definitely feels like Christmas came early for us," Lady Antebellum's Dave Haywood told the Associated Press regarding the group leading country artists with six Grammy nominations. "It's just kind of a complete shock that we'd be recognized, especially to be recognized in some of these all-genre categories. It's pretty bizarre for a couple of rednecks from Tennessee and Georgia." All-genre nods for Album, Record and Song Of The Year for Need You Now and its title track were among Lady A's loot during Wednesday's Grammy Nominations Concert Live! (12/1). Last year's all-genre Best New Artist Zac Brown Band earned recognition in four Country categories including Best Country Album for You Get What You Give. "It's pretty crazy to be nominated one year and then nominated again the following year," the band's Clay Cook writes in a blog. "I will say that I am extremely proud of this record and hope that every voting member of the Recording Academy gives it a fair listen." Dierks Bentley, Jamey Johnson and Miranda Lambert tie with three. Full list here. And watch Lambert perform "Only Prettier" during the nominations concert here. Urban's staying mum on whether the model is his daughter's mum. "We're making art," Urban tells CNN's Denise Quan, who guesses it's Urban's wife Nicole Kidman. "It does leave the story up to much interpretation, and if a picture tells a thousand words, then [this speaks] of something - hopefully to do with music." What is open for discussion is how Urban's marriage influenced his latest work. "My marriage is life-giving; it's not just life-changing," Urban says. "From there, we created life, and that's just beautiful. The effect that all of that has had in my work has given life to it, too. It's given it a sense of purpose." Read the full CNN piece here. In Urban news, he's also offering a 2011 calendar featuring photos snapped by Monkeyville fan club members. Proceeds will benefit St. Jude Children's Research Hospital through the Country Fans Care For St. Jude Kids campaign. Without naming names, Swift discusses speculation behind the people who inspired Speak Now for the cover spread, which is on newsstands now. "Sometimes I would laugh because I would see in print and it would say, 'This song, which is written about her ex, so-and-so," she tells EW. "And they would write about it as if it was fact. The fact is, I haven't ever confirmed that any song is about any particular person. There's something kind of freeing about that. As far as I'm concerned, it's all still up in the air." In other Taylor news, her line of holiday cards is available now and she's named pop rock band Needtobreathe the opening act on the Speak Now World Tour 2011 North American leg. "It'll be a nightly challenge to get ready for my show instead of watching theirs," Taylor tweeted Wednesday (12/1). | » When Opposites Attack: As Brad Paisley's song "Anything Like Me" can attest, boys Huck and Jasper are already following in their dad's adventurous footsteps. "[Jasper's] the opposite [of Huck], and I think that's often the case with kids," Paisley explains. "The second one's born and looks at the first one and goes, 'OK, that's covered. I'll be the one that gets five stitches.' And [Jasper's] already done that.'" But three-year-old Huck is a little more cautious than his one-year-old younger brother. "[Huck's] the type that thinks things out," Paisley says. "He'll get up on a chair, and you'll say, 'Huck, what'll you think will happen if you jump off that?' 'I'll get hurt.' 'Yeah, are you going to jump off that?' 'Well, no.' 'Jasper, what'll you think will happen if you jump off that?' 'I don't know; let me see.' And he jumps. We've had to go to emergency room already with him. We just gave [the hospital] our name and started an account because we'll be back. Huck just shakes his head at his little brother, which is really fun." | » Last-Minute Additions: The inaugural American Country Awards has added Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan and The Band Perry as performers, and Jennette McCurdy, Jerrod Niemann, Lee Ann Womack, Jaron And The Long Road To Love, The Big Bang Theory's Kaley Cuoco, Entertainment Tonight's Nancy O'Dell and motocross champion Travis Pastrana as presenters. Their last date as a trio is a New Year's Eve concert in Norfolk. "This is something that I've been toying with for a longer time than probably anybody realizes," Brian tells The Boot. "Love And Theft is so important to me that I really didn't want to rush into the decision ... It was just an unbelievable experience. It's certainly hard to say goodbye to that, but it's also exciting to move forward into new things. It's an adventure." Eric Gunderson and Stephen Barker Liles will continue Love And Theft as a duo.
