» Allen's Town: Former KOUL/Corpus Christi, TX PD/morning host Clayton Allen has joined crosstown Convergent Broadcasting as OM of the three-station cluster. Allen is also co-hosting mornings on AC KRSR with Kelly Morgan. The move marks the third time GM Kent Cooper has hired Allen; the two worked together at KOUL and crosstown Clear Channel's KRYS. Make your online submissions for Small, Medium, Large and Major Market Broadcast Personality and Station, as well as National Personality before 5pm CT July 1 here. » Changes In Latitudes: The rescheduled CMT Presents Jimmy Buffett & Friends: Live From The Gulf Coast will air on the network July 11 at 7pm ET. Original lineup performer Kenny Chesney will not be participating because of a longstanding commitment. Other guests including Zac Brown and others TBA. The concert will be simulcast on CMT.com and Sirius XM's Radio Margaritaville.

» Memorial Concert: The Stephen Cochran-hosted CMA Artists For Fred Stapleton Memorial Concert is tomorrow (7/1) at Nashville's Mercy Lounge. Cochran, Katie Armiger and the Harters are among those scheduled to perform at the benefit honoring the late Fred Stapleton, who passed away while working security at the 2010 CMA Music Festival. Proceeds will benefit Stapleton's daughter through the Lindsay A. Stapleton trust. Details here.




» Finger-lickin' Fangs: Corresponding with today's (6/30) Twilight Saga: Eclipse release, Colt Ford has put a country spin on the series in his new video for "Chicken And Biscuits." "Twilight is such a great love story, and 'Chicken And Biscuits' is a love song about my wife and all my country girls," Ford says. » Crib Note: Congrats to Rascal Flatts' Jay DeMarcus and wife Allison, who are expecting their first child in January 2011. "I am confident Ali will be a wonderful mother because she has done an incredible job raising me over the past six years," Jay says.
