Hello There,
Mental Health Awareness Month brings up a lot of important conversations. In practice, what we often see is that many of these shifts are part of normal development, even when they feel worrying in the moment.
Sleep changes. Mood fluctuations. Pulling back a bit socially. Or just not feeling quite like themselves for a stretch of time.
Most of the time, this doesn’t point to something being “wrong.” It tends to show up when routines are a bit off, stress is higher than usual, or someone is moving through a natural transition.
Mental health is not about feeling good every day. That’s not realistic.
Mental health is being able to understand your feelings and having the tools to manage them in a healthy way.
Nothing needs to be perfect. Just consistent enough to give things room to regulate.
