The fired executive filed a baseless criminal complaint, falsely claiming our lawful recording violated Illinois' eavesdropping law.
Our journalist's public-setting recording is protected by the First Amendment and Illinois law, as affirmed by the Illinois Supreme Court in 2014. This is a calculated attempt by the powerful to silence us and I need your help to protect my team.
