QUESTION: I have heard that George Strait is to perform at the next Houston, Texas Rodeo - then heard that he is not going to perform. Do you know the straight scoop?
ANSWER: George Strait has signed to perform the closing concert for the 2013 Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo on March 17th. The Houston Rodeo has actually added a day to the schedule for the concert, so there will not be a rodeo that night. Strait has performed there 20 times.

THIS WEEK IN 1981: George Strait had his first charted song. "Unwound" made the charts May 16th, 1981 and peaked at # 6. It t was on the charts for 18 weeks.
