ANSWER: Actress Zooey Deschanel has been signed to portray Loretta Lynn in an upcoming Broadway musical based on Loretta's life.

TODAY IN 1964: Loretta Lynn had her 5th charted song. "Wine, Women and Song" made the country music charts May 2nd, 1964 and peaked at # 3, where it stuck for three weeks. It was on the charts for 24 weeks.
