Hi ,
I hope you're having a great Thursday.
I know you're probably here for the subject line so I'm here to apologize for the typo. We meant It Costs* $100,000.
Sorry to clickbait you into this email but we wanted to let you know about our $100,000 donation from yesterday. We also would love to teach everyone some tips when choosing a charity to donate to.
Yesterday, we donated $100,000:
$74,000 to Gaza - Donated for food, water, and aid that can be purchased within Gaza (since the occupation continues to block the flow of food) and medical treatments for evacuated children
$7,000 to Sudan - Donated for food packages for families in Sudan
$7,000 to Lebanon - Donated for food and water for families in Lebanon
$7,000 to Congo - Donated for emergency relief for families in Goma, Congo.
$5,000 to Yemen - Donated for food packages for families in Yemen
We donated to 8 charities: Pious Projects, Helping Hand, Heal Palestine, PCRF, Human Concern, Pure Hands, Future Of Congo, Islamic Relief
This is all thanks to YOU. All of our products give back making shopping with WTP an easy way to help those in need.
Now let us teach you how to choose a great charity:
1. Verify Legitimacy
Check if the charity is registered with official government databases and look for accreditation from organizations like Charity Navigator, GuideStar, or BBB Wise Giving Alliance.
2. Review Financial Transparency (most important)
A great charity should allocate at least 90% of its funds to programs, not administration costs and fundraising. Check their annual reports and their financial statements (which should legally and easily be accessible on their website) to see how donations are being used.
3. Look at Reviews & Testimonials
Read donor feedback and experiences on platforms like Trustpilot or social media and see if people report scams or negative experiences. Look up the charity's board members and see if there are any reports of fraud or scams.
You worked hard to be able to donate to someone else in need, please make sure your money will be effective by choosing the right charities.
Thank you again for all the support. Keep speaking up for the oppressed!
Best,
Mustafa
