Gut Health Hack: Say Goodbye to Constipation! πŸŽ‰

Scroll down for Today's Recipe: Chocolate Swirl Roll

Hey there,

Hope your day is going smoothly! 😊 Let's dive into a topic that might be a bit awkward but totally important: constipation. It happens to the best of us, right? And some foods just don't make things any easier.

Here are 5 foods you might want to skip for better gut health:

  1. 🚫 Processed Snacks: Low in fiber, not exactly digestion-friendly.
  2. 🚫 Cheese and Dairy: Can be a bit binding for many folks.
  3. 🚫 High-Fat Meats: They can slow down our system.
  4. 🚫 Fried Foods: Not the easiest on digestion, so best to pass.
  5. 🚫 Fast Food: Not your gut's best friend when you're feeling backed up.

But wait, there's good news! πŸ˜ƒ I've got a special treat to help turn things around. And the best part? No prescriptions, no invasive procedures, no day-ruining laxatives, or yucky fiber drinks. It's all about postbiotics! Nature's 3-day, long-lasting fix for perfect bowel movements.

And guess what? I've got a few free bottles of the one I swear by and have been using for years. πŸŽ‰

Here's to feeling light and right! ✨

Today's Recipe: Chocolate Swirl Roll

Ingredients

  • 1/3 second spray coconut oil

  • 1 1/3 cups Xylitol

  • 5 tablespoons Undutched Cocoa Powder

  • 9 large Eggs (Whole)

  • 2 tablespoons Almond Flour

  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt

  • 1 1/3 cups Coconut Cream

  • 2 ounces Unsweetened Baking Chocolate Squares

  • 8 tablespoons Unsalted Butter

  • 1/4 teaspoon Vanilla Extract

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F. Spray a jellyroll pan with coconut oil spray; line with parchment, leaving a 2-inch border, spray again. Set aside.

  2. In a large bowl, whisk together 1 cup xylitol, 4 tablespoons Undutched Cocoa Powder and almond flour.

  3. In another large bowl, beat egg yolks with an electric mixer on high speed until pale yellow and fluffy, about 3 minutes. Turn speed down to low and slowly mix in cocoa mixture until just combined.

  4. In another bowl, beat egg whites and salt with an electric mixer on high speed until stiff peaks form, about 3 minutes. Fold 1/3 of the whites into yolk mixture until just combined. Fold in remaining egg whites. Spread batter evenly in prepared pan. Bake 15 minutes, until cake springs back when lightly touched and pulls away from sides of the pan. Cool cake in pan on wire rack for 30 minutes to 1 hour.

  5. While cake is cooling, prepare filling and frosting. For the filling, whip 1 cup cream and 1 1/2 tablespoons xylitol in a medium bowl until stiff peaks form (do not overbeat).

  6. For the frosting, gradually combine 1/3 cup coconut cream and melted chocolate in a large bowl. With an electric mixer on medium speed, beat in butter, 5 tablespoons xylitol , 1 tablespoon SANE Cocoa Powder  and vanilla. Beat until smooth and fluffy, about 4 minutes. Chill in refrigerator until ready to use.

  7. When cake is cool, slide cake from pan with parchment underneath. Place on counter top. Spread filling over cake, leaving a 1/2  inch border. Roll up cake from narrow end, using parchment to help. Cut 1-inch diagonal pieces from each end.

  8. Transfer roll to a serving platter; place cut diagonal pieces on either side to form log stumps. Set aside.

  9. To assemble: Use a generous dab of frosting to attach stumps to main log. Frost entire log, and run fork tines through frosting to create a bark-like texture.
