Q:      I heard on the radio that Bobby Bare is recording a new album. Do you have any information?

A:
"Darker Than Light" is Bare's first collection of new material since 2005. The project was recorded at Nashville's RCA Studio "B" for Plowboy Records and set for release on November 13th.

THIS WEEK IN 1962: Bobby Bare had his first charted single. "Shame On Me" entered the country music charts September 15th, 1962 and peaked at # 18. The RCA Victor single was on the charts for 8 weeks.  AND yes--this was Bobby's first charted song  UNDER HIS OWN NAME - -as some of our subscribers who delight in finding mistakes in this newsletter - will quickly point out that Bares' first charted song was "All American Boy" under another  name.
