QUESTION:    During one of the old "Hee Haw" programs, Susan Raye sang "Stop The World  And Let Me Off." My mom says that some guy had a hit on that song before Susan did. Is that true?

ANSWER:      "Stop The World & Let Me Off" scored a   # 7 for Johnny & Jack in 1958,   a # 16 for Waylon Jennings in 1965 before Susan's # 18 hit in 1974
